Follow Up Armenia

Follow-Up Activity — Armenia

Our follow-up activity took place at Terev Resto Cafe (founded by Youth Mix) on 21.01.2024. During the activity, almost 20 participants were introduced to the program of VARCOU, the most exciting sessions we had and the practical skills and knowledge we got. First, we held the Dating game for them to get to know each other, then started telling them about art and self-expression through it, then had an individual work to expand their imagination. We closed up with some videos and a Q&A session about Erasmus.

This is what our participants think about the program:

Wait... Imagine yourself and a group of young people being taken to the town of Pissouri, divided into 6 groups. Each group is assigned 12 tasks to explore the area. Once you complete the tasks, you need to take a picture and send it to the leaders. For example, find the symbol of the area, ask passers-by about the story, take a picture with a local fruit or find the oldest restaurant and take a picture with the founder.

Now, imagine that we were in such a situation. We spent the whole day running from one street to another hill. Well, you can imagine the bright feelings (not to mention the muscle pains the next day ).

Every game, task and evening was just full of craziness. I brought with me some useful ideas and a lot of crazy memories.

Last year, I had a chance to spend 8 unforgettable days in Pissouri village in Limassol, Cyprus, taking part in the Voice of ARt and COmmUnity project. The learning process was based on non-formal education. For me, every day was a new challenge with an incredible opportunity to gain new knowledge and share experiences with new acquaintances and to search for ways to apply the acquired skills in an innovative and creative way. During the project, we were given the opportunity to share the knowledge gained during the project with a group of apprentices at one of the schools in Limasson. Divided into working groups, we organized different kinds of of educational and creative activities and spent a wonderful time with the pupils. In the beginning, through ''getting to know each other'' and self-discovery games we tried to create a cozy and warm atmosphere. Then we moved to another activities aimed to expressing our emotions trough art. More particularly, together we created photography collages reflecting our emotions. Each student has a unique and bright personality, willing to express his or her emotions through art. I really enjoyed my time and the interaction with the Students gave me new ideas and new inspiration.

Art became the mirror reflecting not only my emotions but also the best version of myself. It's a practice that evolves like a beautiful melody getting sweeter with every note. The more I practiced, the more my imagination flourished, unveiling the untapped reservoir of my creativity. Let creativity be the mirror that shows you the best of you and encourages you to paint the canvas of your life with vibrant hues. Let you have this kind of beautiful project organized by #Acpelia!!!
