Training

The activity is dedicated to youth workers, young leaders and staff members coming from the partner organisations.

Each organisation will be able to send 4 participants. The target group for this activity is youth workers, staff members or young volunteers/peers (including those with fewer opportunities and coming from vulnerable groups) who are willing to take part in the project.

The profile of participants will be described as the following:

• be 18+ years old (preferably -35 years old);

• be connected or working within one of the partner organisation;

• have experience in youth work or strong intentions to be involved in the youth work;

• be motivated;

• willing to take part in the implementation of follow up activities and actions at local level;

• have a common understanding of English.

The guidelines consisting the above mentioned details will be sent to the partners who will be responsible to make the selection of the participants. All organization partners will select their participants based on the above characteristics. The criteria for selection will be motivation, involvement and commitment of the participants.

According to the needs analysis of the partner organizations we are going to involve participants with fewer opportunities in the project, especially those who face economic, social and/or geographical obstacles.

It is necessary for the partner organizations to choose participants in a balance, both male and female, because gender-balanced groups have better group dynamics and learning results. However, taking into consideration the tendency that women show more interest in participating in such training than men, gender shouldn't become the obstacle for taking part in the project. Partner organizations will maintain constant communication throughout the selection process to ensure that there will be a gender balance in the group as a whole in order to achieve both goals: to ensure gender balance and to avoid gender discrimination. The participants for the Cypriot team will be chosen last to guarantee that, if either gender is overrepresented, we will balance it as needed.

The selection of partners also helps to keep the countries' balance. To ensure the balance the project consisted of program and partner countries. In order to do it the project partners representation is composed of 4 countries from Eastern Europe and Caucasus region (Belarus, Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine), and 5 countries from program countries (Cyprus, Hungary, Romania, Poland and Greece).
